As the battle rages, the submarine’s torpedoes trigger an avalanche, trapping the creature—only for Namor to turn on the vessel itself, determined to end the threat. After a final, devastating confrontation that leaves the submarine fleeing with the carcass of the fallen foe, Namor barely makes it back to Atlantis, where advanced medicine saves him from a lethal radiation dose. As he recovers, he resolves to summon a council of war—what that means, and what dangers lie ahead, remain unknown.
