In "Die Rückkehr des Doctor Octopus," Otto Octavius, struggling to maintain control after years of therapy, finds his psyche unraveling as long-buried memories of his past as Doctor Octopus resurface—his mechanical arms twitching with a will of their own. When Spider-Man exploits the situation by enlisting Ock’s shrink to lure him out with a tell-all book, the villain emerges once more, leading to a brutal clash that ends with the master of the tentacles slipping away into the shadows.
