“Mächtiger als das Schwert?”

In "Mächtiger als das Schwert?", Tony Stark’s life hangs in the balance as he’s trapped inside his Iron Man armor—no longer a choice, but a necessity to survive. With Pepper and Happy convinced he’s vanished and the police on his trail, Iron Man is forced to confront Hawkeye when he attacks Stark’s factory and takes Pepper hostage. The cover by Gene Colan and John Romita, inked by Frank Giacoia and John Romita, captures the tension as Stark’s struggle between identity and survival reaches a breaking point. Written by Stan Lee and Hartmut Huff, with art by Don Heck and inks by Dick Ayers, this 1977 issue delivers high stakes and emotional depth in a story where loyalty is tested and the line between hero and villain blurs.
