Xavier summons Havok, Polaris, and Iceman to aid in the mission as Storm, Wolverine, Colossus, Angel, and Nightcrawler infiltrate the temporary Castle Doom in upstate New York, while the others head to Murderworld. Storm is drawn into a tense game of manipulation by Victor himself, while Arcade—more guest than prisoner—walks among the team. When Doom is attacked, he traps Storm in metal and shifts his focus to the rest of the group, raising the stakes in a high-stakes showdown.
