Their celebration is cut short when Deathbird abruptly drags them from Lilandra’s ship to a Brood vessel, plunging them into a new and deadly threat.

In "Verloren im All," Storm struggles to resist the creeping influence of the Brood infection as the X-Men's ship is devoured by an Acanti, a vast alien entity. There, she reunites with her teammates, revealing she has become one with the creature the Brood use to travel—her body and mind now entwined with something ancient and alien.
