In "Metallene Giganten," a mysterious meteorite triggers an unstoppable growth in robots, threatening the city. When The Outsiders—Tom, Howie, Chet, and Merf—accidentally exacerbate the crisis by stealing a fragment, they must join forces with Magnus and Leeja Clane to stop the mechanical surge before it's too late. On a desert planet, the Robinson family's spacemobiles lead them into a mysterious space gate, only to find their station among a collection of preserved Earth vehicles and vessels under glass domes. With the help of a group of stranded humans from a 1998 cargo plane, Craig, June, Tim, and Tam use their spacemobiles' under-rockets to break through a dome and reclaim their ship—just as three gaunt aliens briefly inspect the station before moving on.
