Published by Harvey Comics in February 1960, this issue of "World's Most Famous Detective" promises a complete inside detective case centered on "The Mystery of Mary 'X'!" The cover — penciled by Chester Gould and inked by Joe Simon — captures the chaos perfectly: Dick Tracy in his trademark hat and black suit leaps through the air, sending a chair flying at a gun-toting white-haired thug, while a woman in an orange dress performs before a band in the background, seemingly unaware of the brawl erupting around her.
