Michael Del Mundo's cover is a sun-drenched gem — Dexter strikes a cheerful tourist pose in front of a "The Outback Starts Here" sign, complete with bucket hat, sunglasses, binoculars, and a peace sign, while a kangaroo lingers casually in the red-dirt landscape behind him. The contrast between that easy, grinning vacation charm and everything we know lurks beneath it makes this one of the more quietly unnerving covers of the series.
