The cover of Devolution #3 says everything you need to know about this chapter's tone: a massive, nightmarish spider — red-eyed, fanged, and bristling with jagged legs — looms directly overhead in a worm's-eye view that makes the stomach drop, its web radiating outward against a sickly yellow-green sky. Jae Lee's cover art is genuinely unsettling, all scratchy ink lines and lurking dread, perfectly suited to a story titled "Arachnophobia." Rick Remender, Jonathan Wayshak, and Jordan Boyd's Devolution continues to be one of Dynamite's more unnerving sci-fi horror offerings of 2016.
