"Obey the Law" follows two interconnected Wild West tales of outlawry and justice. In the first, Mexican officer Joaquin pursues the Starr gang across California and Arkansas, determined to stop their reign of terror and rescue the captured Rosita. In the second, Henry Starr takes advice from a criminal named Slim and leads the Starr gang on a spree of bank robberies and violence across Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Colorado, until lawmen close in to stop them. Both narratives emphasize the triumph of law and order over frontier criminality.
