The first chapter of "Alfa-Predatoren" announces itself with a cover that pulls you straight into the abyss — shafts of cold, blue-white light pierce down through a fractured underwater cavern opening, illuminating jagged rock formations that stretch into the darkness below. Federico Pietrobon's artwork, colored by Marta Martinez, gives the scene a genuinely breathtaking sense of depth and dread, making the ocean feel vast, ancient, and very much alive with threat. Written by Stéphane Betbeder, this 2013 series opener from Daedalus promises an immersive dive into something lurking far beneath the surface.
