Part of DC's 1993 "World Tour" event, this issue takes Deathstroke to France for what the cover boldly promises is a "Firefight in France!" Mike Zeck's cover captures Slade Wilson in full armored regalia — orange-and-blue suit, mask, and automatic weapon blazing — leaping across a speeding motorcycle while a white-haired figure scrambles nearby amid a hail of spent shell casings. It's a kinetic, beautifully composed action scene that sets a fitting stage for Marv Wolfman's script, brought to life on the interior by artist Malcolm Davis.
