Deathstroke #8

The cover tagline says it all — "God of War Against God Killer!" — and Tony S. Daniel and Sandu Florea deliver on that promise with a stunning image of Wonder Woman and Deathstroke locked in brutal, close-quarters combat, debris exploding around them as she drives a blade downward while her lasso trails in the chaos. Both combatants look battered and fierce, making this 2015 issue's cover one of the more viscerally charged clash images of DC's New 52 era. If you're drawn to hard-hitting superhero confrontations, "Black Rain" looks like a story that earns its tagline.
