Deathstroke #17

Looming large over the cover of Deathstroke #17 is Slade Wilson himself — unmasked, dark-haired, and radiating cold menace — while two armored, skull-faced gunfighters clash violently in the foreground, guns blazing and blades drawn. Tyler Kirkham's linework gives the whole image a kinetic, almost Western-showdown energy that fits perfectly with the story title "Showdown at Copper Cliff." It's a striking 2016 package from the creative team of Bonny, Kirkham, and colorist Arif Prianto that makes a strong case for picking this one up.
