Part of Marvel's expansive Death of Wolverine event, this second issue — "Hypothesis" — frames its tension beautifully through Salvador Larroca and Frank D'Armata's striking cover design. Two imposing figures loom large on either side: a feral, clawed face on the left faces off against a heavily armored, gas-masked figure on the right, while soldiers and military hardware clash in a smoky battlefield between them. Charles Soule's story promises the kind of morally murky, high-stakes drama that the Weapon X legacy does so well.
