This anthology issue contains four stories drawn from Mildred Norton's casebook, plus advice from Miss Norton to lovelorn readers. One story follows Martha Roberts, who encounters her late boyfriend Ralph's half-brother Ben and experiences conflicted feelings when she realizes Ben bears a striking resemblance to Ralph. Another story, "Heartache Into Horror," tells of Susan Brown, an orphaned farm girl who falls in love with a stranger; when he asks her for a job, her initial happiness turns to fear as she senses something sinister about him, leading to a terrifying night that changes her life.
