Deadpool & Wolverine: WWIII #2

Wolverine crouches low with adamantium claws fully extended while Deadpool stands ready behind him, pistol raised, against a churning purple vortex and a ring of silhouetted figures lurking in the foreground — whatever trouble they've stumbled into, these two look prepared to meet it head-on. Adam Kubert's cover work gives both characters a grounded physicality, with Frank Martin's moody color palette lending the scene genuine menace. Joe Kelly reunites with this unlikely duo in 2024, and if issue #2 is any indication, WWIII is shaping up to be one of Marvel's more entertaining team-up series of the year.
