Deadpool & the Mercs for Money #10

The fifth chapter of "'Til Death Do Us…" arrives in genuinely unsettling fashion: Reilly Brown's cover depicts Deadpool and a dark-clad female figure dangling upside-down in chains over a fiery pit, while a rogues' gallery of monster-themed villains — including a mummy, a Frankenstein's monster-type brute, a gorilla, and a caged figure holding a snake — loom menacingly above them on solid ground. It's a wonderfully grim tableau that captures the series' knack for blending absurdist humor with real danger. With Christopher Hastings writing and Iban Coello on art, this 2017 Marvel series continues to find creative ways to put the Mercs through the wringer.
