Deadpool Killustrated #4
The finale of Deadpool Killustrated closes out its gleeful literary rampage with a cover by Mike Del Mundo that sets the tone perfectly: Deadpool lurks in a fog-draped Victorian alleyway, weapon raised, while a deerstalker-capped figure kneels on the cobblestones, his head inexplicably — and hilariously — ablaze, scattered playing cards littering the ground around him. The tagline "Butchering Stories from Literature's Finest Authors!" says it all, as Sherlock Holmes himself appears to be the Merc with a Mouth's latest target. With writing from Cullen Bunn and interior art from Matteo Lolli, this is a wonderfully absurd send-up of classic fiction that earns every bit of its Parental Advisory label.
