“The Salted Earth Part Three: Conclusion”

In "The Salted Earth Part Three: Conclusion," Deadpool—stripped of his regenerative healing factor—faces off against Slayback and T-Ray with brutal efficiency, only to be confronted by the chilling presence of Evil Deadpool. As the two versions of the mercenary clash over a painful past, the truth about their shared serum is revealed, setting up a deadly gamble that tests the limits of both men. Written by Daniel Way and illustrated by Filipe Andrade with inks by Sean Parsons and Jeff Huet, the issue’s stark, intense visuals are matched by Dave Johnson’s striking cover.

Even with no regenerative powers, Deadpool makes short work of Slayback and T-Ray. As he turns his attention to Allison, the woman who so badly wants him dead for putting her in a wheelchair many years ago, Evil Deadpool shows up. Evil Deadpool tells morally ambiguous Deadpool that the serum that they both took which negated their healing factor was only temporary. Deadpool offers to let him prove it by allowing Evil Deadpool to shoot him in the head. The end (until the new series starts next month, that is).
