Deadpool #48
A facepalming Captain America dominates this 2012 Marvel cover, apparently at his wit's end — and given that a halo-wearing angel Deadpool hovers to his left while a tiny devil Deadpool fires guns on his right, that reaction seems entirely reasonable. Nick Bradshaw's cover art frames the "Deadpool vs. Evil Deadpool" arc's fourth chapter with a wonderfully absurdist visual gag, pitting Wade Wilson's better and worse impulses — literally — against a very tired Star-Spangled Avenger. With Daniel Way writing and Salva Espín on interior art, this issue promises the kind of chaotic, self-aware humor that makes Deadpool's solo title such a reliably entertaining ride.

Interpol shows up in New York looking for Deadpool and Captain America, the Brits and the NYPD quickly figure out that Deadpool was telling the truth when he claimed to have an evil doppelganger running around causing mayhem. The fact that Deadpool is sitting in a police car with a little boy he has threatened to kill doesn't help his case with the authorities, however. As Deadpool tries to extricate himself from his precarious situation (with an exploding bag of poop, no less), Evil Deadpool gets the drop on him.
