Deadpool #39

Deadpool sits front and center atop a television set, flanked by a blue-and-gold armored figure on his left and a purple-clad blonde woman on his right — all three posed like cast members of a sitcom, complete with the tongue-in-cheek lyrics "Come and Knock on Our Door" and "We've Been Waiting for You." It's a genuinely funny, self-aware cover from writer Christopher Priest and penciler Paco Diaz (inked by Jon Holdredge) that captures the irreverent spirit Deadpool is known for. "Johnny Handsome Scene Two" promises more of the offbeat storytelling that made this 2000 run such a treat.
