Deadpool comes up with a masterful plan that succeeds in destroying the menace of Id forever. He endures a great deal of personal sacrifice to save the alien, Obb. He even steps aside to let true love blossom (and loses a wife in the process). In short, he becomes the hero he has always hoped and striven to be. But he's way out in space and nobody really notices (as he puts it, "In space, no one can hear you win."). So he decides that space basically sucks and rockets back to good old planet earth.
