This five-issue 2001 DC miniseries pairs two of the DCU's most distinct heroes — the ghostly Deadman and the lightning-fast Flash — in a story promising nothing less than "a crisis in hand." The cover by José Luis García-López, inked by Kevin Nowlan, captures the tension beautifully: a pale, spectral Deadman looms large above while a crackling, electricity-wreathed Flash struggles in the foreground, looking very much like a man caught between worlds. With Vance, Kirk, and Burchett steering the story, this opening chapter sets an atmospheric, high-stakes tone right from the first page.
