Dead Space #3

The third chapter of Antony Johnston and Ben Templesmith's six-part Dead Space series arrives with a cover that's hard to look away from — and equally hard to look at. Templesmith's painterly artwork puts a grotesque, glowing-eyed figure center stage, its torn face and hunched, shrouded form radiating menace against a smoldering amber background. If this unsettling portrait is any indication, the series continues to mine deep, visceral horror from its sci-fi premise.
