Vertigo's supernatural mystery series — spun out from the pages of The Sandman — reaches its fifth issue with a cover that perfectly captures the "Topsy-Turvy" spirit of the story ahead. Mark Buckingham's cover art presents a suited figure suspended upside-down in a disorienting domestic interior, the ceiling and floor seemingly swapped while bare Edison bulbs glow eerily on either side. It's a genuinely unsettling image that makes the strange geometry of ghostly detective work feel both playful and quietly creepy.
