De avonturen van Urbanus #202
Volume 202 of the long-running Belgian series brings "Het vergeten avontuur," and the cover by Willy Linthout and Steven de Rie captures the cheerful chaos fans have come to love. Through a storefront window, a wide-eyed Urbanus throws up his hands as an older woman looms behind him with a mallet raised, while outside a rotund couple ride a hand cart — one holding a frothy beer, the other a red cup — with a bouncy yellow dog trotting alongside blasting music, all framed by a sign reading "Gekkenhuis" (madhouse). It's a wonderfully absurd snapshot that promises the irreverent Flemish humor Linthout, Urbanus, and Ann Smet have been delivering for decades.
