De avonturen van Urbanus #114

Volume 114 of De avonturen van Urbanus arrives in 2005 with a deliciously creepy cover for "De zielenzuiger" (The Soul Sucker), illustrated by Willy Linthout and inked by Steven de Rie. The cover depicts a wide-eyed Urbanus being dragged toward a window by a pair of ghoulish, zombie-like creatures — skulls and all — while a frightened onlooker tumbles away in the foreground. The tagline boldly promises "de griezeligste strip aller tijden" (the scariest comic of all time), and judging by the wonderfully grotesque cover chaos, Linthout and Urbanus are clearly having a great time delivering on that claim.
