De avonturen van Lucky Luke naar Morris #4
The cover of this 2010 Dutch-language album sets up a delightful standoff: Lucky Luke emerges from a bank of green filing cabinets, revolver drawn, papers flying everywhere, while a broad-shouldered, bearded man in a blue vest — clearly the Pinkerton agent of the title — faces him down beside a safe and a "WANTED" poster bearing Luke's own name. Achdé's crisp, expressive linework captures both tension and humor in a single glance, very much in the spirit of Morris's original creation. With a script by Daniel Pennac and Tonino Benacquista behind the visuals, this fourth entry in the "Avonturen van Lucky Luke" series promises a sharp clash between the West's most capable lone rider and one of its most formidable detective agencies.
