Issue three of this six-part DC Special puts Vic Stone front and center in a fiery, debris-strewn battlefield, his half-human face strained with intensity as he surges forward against at least one other cybernetically enhanced combatant — all under the blunt, tantalizing tagline "Cyborg Wars!" The cover, penciled by Tony S. Daniel and inked by Sandu Florea, crackles with kinetic energy, chrome plating and sparking circuitry set against a smoldering orange sky that makes the stakes feel genuinely massive. With writer Mark Sable and artist Carlos Magno carrying "Rage Against the Machine" into its third chapter, this 2008 series continues to make a strong case for Cyborg as a headliner in his own right.
