“Ride a Deadly Grenade!”

In "Ride a Deadly Grenade!", the Atom finds himself stranded on Earth-Prime after a botched attempt to protect the Time Pool from thieves. With help from Gardner and Julie, he hatches a desperate plan to return home—riding a grenade hurled by the surprisingly fast Tex Ford, using the blast’s momentum to leap back to his own dimension. Written by Dave Gibbons and illustrated by Pat Olliffe, with inks by Livesay, colors by Tom McCraw, and letters by Jared K. Fletcher, this 2004 issue features a bold, kinetic cover by Brian Bolland.
