“Chiller!”

Bill Sienkiewicz delivers a genuinely unsettling cover for this 1984 issue, depicting a wide-eyed, darkened Dazzler arms outstretched as bat-like creatures swoop down on her from above, while shambling zombie figures close in from the shadows below. The dripping, horror-movie lettering of "Chiller!" sets the tone perfectly — this is Dazzler well outside her disco-pop comfort zone. Writer Mike Carlin and artist Mark Bright take Marvel's light-powered mutant into what promises to be a much darker corner of the universe.
