Darkhold: Pages from the Book of Sins #3

The supernatural looms large on this December 1992 cover from Tony Harris and Jimmy Palmiotti, as the pale, shadowy face of Modred the Mystic hovers over two wary figures — a gun-wielding man in a suit and a dark-haired woman who senses something is very wrong, her unease captured in the speech bubble: "Do you get the feeling we're not alone?" Green and yellow mystical energy crackles around Modred's imposing presence, with a small group of additional characters peering in from the upper corner, hinting at a wider cast caught up in the Darkhold's corrupting influence. Part of Marvel's ongoing series rooted in eldritch horror and forbidden magic, this issue makes a compelling case that the Book of Sins still has plenty of dark pages left to turn.
