This is an anthology issue containing at least two stories. "Hexes: Causes and Cures!" depicts artist Mike Brant and his wife Sheila at their new mountain home, where Sheila becomes mysteriously paralyzed after an unexplained incident, leading Mike to seek help from an old woman in the village who claims to know about hexes and their remedies. The second story, indicated by the text pages, follows soldiers Finnegan and Kent during a military conflict, where they struggle with boredom and tension at their posts before encountering enemy combatants and being rescued by their sergeant and relief forces.

Don't Be a Stumbling Spook!
5 pp

A couple of bumbling spooks hire the renowned Emily Ghost to teach them the finer points of haunting—everything from proper chain-rattling technique to diaphragm control for authentic moans—so they can finally scare people away from their mansion. When a real family stumbles into their practice session, the students get their chance to put their lessons to work, leading to a night full of mishaps, unexpected romance, and one speedy escape.

Showdown!

When Wilbur Smith starts at a factory, his clumsiness makes him an easy mark for the other workers—but when an accident injures the foreman, suspicion falls on him, and he finds himself facing the police. Penciled and inked by Robert Webb, "Showdown!" reveals that appearances can be deceiving when a seemingly bumbling newcomer must defend himself against accusations he didn't expect.
