As the Fantastic Four prepare the Baxter Building for the arrival of Franklin and Valeria, Sue gets upset when she finds Ben and Johnny letting robots do all the work and Reed working on a new experiment. Reed presents his colleagues with The Bridge, a dimensional gateway which will allow him to look into alternate realities to discover how they have solved their problems. Reed turns The Bridge on and enters inside just as HAMMER attacks the Baxter Building and cuts the power. Sue, Ben and Johnny find themselves caught in an elevator that leads directly into a conglomeration of realities.
