Earth's descent into the Dark Multiverse has been temporarily halted, but Barbatos seeks to call his armies to Earth to complete the mission. Superman and Batman battle a transformed Hawkman at the Forge of Worlds. On their quest to find Nth Metal, Aquaman and Deathstroke are attacked by Black Manta, Wonder Woman is attacked by Black Adam and Lady Blackhawk, while Green Lantern, Mr. Terrific, and Martian Manhunter must stop Onimar Synn and Starro from using Plastic Man's egg form to control the energies of the Dark Multiverse. The Dark Knights return to join the battles against the heroes.
