Along the left side, portrait medallions tease the issue's three features — Baden (by Alexander and McCallum), Paleolove (by Gary Davis), and Hellboy (by Mignola himself), whose story, "The Wolves of Saint August Part Three," gives the cover its eerie, folkloric menace. It's a wonderfully moody package that showcases why Dark Horse Presents was such a compelling home for bold, genre-bending work in 1994.
