Daredevil / Spider-Man #3

The penultimate chapter of this Marvel Knights team-up miniseries arrives with an Alex Ross cover that frames the tension beautifully — Spider-Man and Daredevil loom large on either side of the image, their costumed faces close and intense, while a silver-armored figure and a long-haired villain occupy the precarious space between them on a brick-paved street below. Ross's painted realism gives the composition a cinematic weight that feels entirely at home in the grittier corner of the Marvel Universe that Jenkins, Winslade, and Palmer are exploring. With one issue still to go, "Bad Boys Don't Cry" promises the kind of street-level drama these two heroes do best.
