About this Collection

This Epic Collection opens with Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev's acclaimed run, following Matt Murdock as his secret identity is publicly exposed, leading to a devastating chain of events that lands him in prison. The volume collects Daredevil #76-87, along with the 'Daredevil: The Target' one-shot and other key tie-ins, chronicling the Man Without Fear's struggle to survive behind bars while his world crumbles around him. It's a pivotal chapter in Daredevil's modern history, blending gritty crime noir with superhero drama.

In "The Tri-Man Lives!", Daredevil finds himself trapped in a twisted game of survival when the Marauder drags him and the Gladiator to a surreal movie set recreating the Roman Coliseum—where the Maggia's elite are gathered. With the stakes high and the arena alive with danger, a sudden escape by a caged lion forces an unexpected moment of mercy that shifts the tide between enemies. Written by Stan Lee and brought to life with moody precision by Gene Colan, with inks by Frank Giacoia and letters by Sam Rosen, this gripping tale blends psychological tension and brutal spectacle. The cover, also by Gene Colan and Frank Giacoia, captures the scene’s dramatic intensity.

The Marauder transports DD and Gladiator back to his base in hopes of using Hornhead to help power his Tri-Man. When this plan fails, he transports them both to a movie set of the Roman Coliseum in Europe where all the Maggia heads are meeting. DD and Gladiator fight it out in the arena until a caged lion gets loose and DD ends up saving his foe's life. Gladiator refuses to fight after this and gets a job with the Maggia and DD walks away.
