Daredevil #7

There's something quietly wonderful about Paolo Rivera's cover for this 2012 issue: Daredevil — the Man Without Fear — lies flat on a snow-covered rooftop making a snow angel, surrounded by the dark, wintry silhouette of a city skyline while flakes drift all around him. It's a beautifully understated image that balances the character's toughness with an unexpected moment of levity, rendered in Rivera's bold, graphic style. Mark Waid's celebrated run was in full swing at this point, and a cover this charming is a fine invitation to see what's inside.
