“The Death of Daredevil Part 3: Phobophobia”

Part three of "The Death of Daredevil" arrives in this 2019 issue written by Charles Soule, with a cover by Phil Noto that stops you cold. Noto renders the Man Without Fear in freefall between New York skyscrapers, his billy club and its trailing cord arcing away as he plunges with arms outstretched — a visceral image that makes the arc's ominous title feel very real. It's a striking, emotionally loaded cover that sets the stage for what promises to be a gut-punch of a penultimate chapter.
