Daredevil #5
Daredevil #5 from 2016 puts the Man Without Fear right in the thick of it — the cover by Ron Garney shows a black-suited Daredevil bracing his billy clubs against a massive, hooded red-cloaked figure looming above him, while a dark-clad warrior ensnared in chains struggles in the background, the whole scene threaded with tension and shadow. Garney's linework, colored with moody restraint by Matt Milla, gives the confrontation a gritty, almost noir weight that suits Charles Soule's run perfectly. If you've been following this series, this issue's cover alone signals that the stakes are anything but ordinary.
