"The Pyramid Trap" features Mike Danger pursuing criminals through Egypt's crooked streets and into a pyramid, where he engages in combat and pursues them by car through the desert. "The Purple Peacock" follows Mike Danger and Johnny Adventure as they receive a mysterious message from someone named Konrad in Constantinople requesting their help, leading them to investigate a case involving a legendary treasure and climb a mountain to reach the summit.
Johnny Adventure finds himself stranded on a remote island after a shipwreck, only to be captured by a deranged hunter who forces him into a deadly game: survive 24 hours of being hunted, and he'll earn his freedom. Armed only with his wits and survival instincts, Johnny must outwit a man who's collected every hunting trophy the world has to offer—turning the tables in a battle of cunning against an obsessed predator.
Mike Danger arrives in Cairo hot on the trail of enemy agents, but his trouble starts the moment he docks—and it only deepens when a desperate young dancer pulls him into her own escape from a dangerous crime boss. Pursued to an ancient pyramid outside the city, Mike must navigate a deadly trap that's far more elaborate than a simple ambush, with his Egyptian police allies racing to close in before the conspirators silence him for good.
Mike Danger and Johnny Adventure reunite in Constantinople when Johnny arrives with word that their old nemesis Doctor Zonrad is back in the jewel-smuggling game, using mysterious purple peacock statuettes as smuggling vessels. As the duo traces the source of the figurines and closes in on Zonrad's operation, they discover his headquarters is hidden within a temple—but their investigation puts them squarely in the crosshairs of his ruthless organization. It's a race against time to stop Zonrad before he can slip away and disappear into the intrigue of the East.
Two mountaineers, Trent and Knudson, attempt what no one has dared before: conquering K-8, a peak locals believe harbors danger and warn them away from—but Trent's curiosity about what lies on "the other side" drives them upward anyway. Battling treacherous ice, deadly gorges, and near-fatal falls, the pair claw their way toward the summit in a desperate race against the mountain itself. What they discover at the peak challenges everything they thought they understood about their climb.
