Dr. Randy O'Brien meets Dave Landers after Dave is admitted for an overdose of painkillers. After Randy learns of his paranormality, they travel to the Clinic, a facility set up to treat those with paranormalities, and are assigned to a therapy group with Charly Beck, Dennis "Scuzz" Cuzinski, Lenore Fenzl, Stephanie Harrington, and Jeff Walters. Philip Nolan Voigt, head of the Clinic, orders his three top operatives, Mr. Hackbarth, Mr. Charne, and Ms. Speck, to which members of the group would be best suited for the C.I.A.'s paranormal force. After three weeks in the Clinic, Randy's "anti-body" discovers that the Clinic has sinister plans for the paranormals. With this information, the seven members of the therapy group decide to leave the Clinic and go on the run.
