Crosswind #5

Gail Simone and Cat Staggs's sharp-edged thriller from Image continues with issue five, subtitled "Dancing in the Moonlight." Staggs's cover art puts us right in the tension — a suited man in tinted red sunglasses raises a pistol with focused, almost cautious intensity, caught in what looks like a vehicle or tight interior space with warm city lights blurring behind him. It's a tightly composed, cinematic image that captures the series' crime-noir atmosphere perfectly.
