Crisis Aftermath: The Spectre #1

Part one of "Dead Again" opens this three-issue miniseries spinning directly out of Infinite Crisis, and Cliff Chiang's cover sets an immediately unsettling tone. The Spectre looms in his green hood, face cast in deep shadow with only pale spectral features barely visible, while a sea of skulls crowds the background and drops of blood fall from the figure's cloak. Will Pfeifer and Chiang make DC's Spirit of Vengeance feel genuinely ominous here — this is a series with weight.
