Crime Does Not Pay #47
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis issue presents a crime story featuring the search for a fugitive named Thomas Crawford, whose fingerprints were found on "wanted for murder" circulars distributed across the country in connection with the 1930 execution of Irene Schroeder and Glenn Dague. After Crawford mysteriously disappears, FBI agents discover his identity and track him to a hideout in More House, Missouri, where they apprehend him in a shootout. The story culminates with Tony, a member of Big Korney's gang who had befriended Crawford, being forced to kill the watchman and ultimately meeting his own death when the police close in on the gang's operation, reinforcing the moral that crime does not pay.
