This is an anthology issue featuring at least two stories. "The Invaders" depicts a massive cigar-shaped spacecraft appearing over Washington, D.C., traveling at 15,000 mph, with characters debating the threat and one man discovering a fortune in money that he plans to use to become wealthy. A second story involves William Brent, a man searching for a mysterious island with miraculous life-giving properties after World War II; he eventually locates it and attempts to reach it by yacht, but the narrative breaks to show a rocket launch where a pilot named Steve Wyatt is selected for a space mission, ultimately resulting in the rocket's explosion.
