"What Became of the Man Who Lived for Vengeance?" follows an orphaned boy named Jason who rises from poverty to become a successful engineer and businessman with his partner Frank Armistead, developing a revolutionary new rocket design. When Frank discovers a fatal flaw in the rocket that could cause it to disintegrate, Jason insists they sell it anyway for profit, leading Frank to sabotage the launch, which explodes and strands Jason on another dimension. Jason escapes his exile seeking revenge, but a psychiatrist reveals that Dr. Fenster—Jason's nemesis from the other dimension—exists only in his mind, a manifestation of his own guilt complex that he must stop pursuing.
