Creepy Archives #2

This Dark Horse Archives volume collects Creepy issues 6–10, gathering Archie Goodwin's macabre storytelling alongside art from Roy Krenkel, Ben Oda, and others into one handsome 2008 hardcover. Jack Davis's cover art sets the tone beautifully: a winged, red-eyed creature with fangs and claws looms over a cowering, wide-eyed figure on a gothic staircase, the crumbling arched hall behind them drenched in cold blue shadow. It's a wonderfully atmospheric piece that captures everything that made Creepy one of horror comics' most beloved anthology magazines.
